I started the year with a long list of goals and one of them was to blog more often. Clearly, I already have some catching up to do but I wanted to share what’s been keeping me so busy these days. My good friend Terrence and I have finally launched that secret project I’ve alluded to a few times and I’m beyond thrilled to be announcing it here!
It’s with great excitement that I introduce to you SUN MRN, or Sunday Morning, a new online boutique dedicated to sourcing unique, hard-to-find goods from Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong and beyond including women’s jewelry, accessories, paper goods and stationery. As you already know, I love to travel, and one of our goals with this shop was to bring all the beautiful objects we’ve collectively seen during our trips to Asia home to the states. Our offering is modest at the moment, but we plan to continue adding to it in the upcoming months. Most of our product comes from Korea, some is locally sourced right here in LA, and we’re proud to carry a small assortment of handmade pieces by my friend and NYC based jewelry designer, Nina Cristina. In the near future, we’ll also be expanding our line to include more pieces by local Los Angeles artists, designers and illustrators because there’s nothing we love more than showcasing homegrown talent. And of course, we’re working on making international shipping available so stay tuned for that.
The sky is the limit with this new venture and I can’t begin to express how rewarding it’s been to build something from scratch and to work with such a close friend – someone whom I admire a great deal both professionally and personally. I’m looking forward to seeing what the new year brings and it would mean so much to me if you could help spread the word about the brand whether it be through liking our page, following us on Twitter, reading our blog, or connecting with us via Pinterest and Instagram! Better yet, sign up for our mailing list and get news delivered straight to your inbox.
I’m working to find a balance between SUN MRN and blogging here but I promise I’ll be back soon (just got a bunch of film developed! Oh snap…) Thank you again for your support, readership, comments, everything. You’re the best.
